Mission
OSTNL, established in 1986, is an organization focused on improving trauma care in Ohio. The OSTNL advocates for quality trauma care and injury prevention. The OSTNL shall serve as a primary resource to professionals and the public regarding hospital-based trauma programs and organized trauma systems.
Function
- Increase awareness of Ohio hospitals and health organizations of the purpose of the OSTNL
Recommend guidelines pertaining to trauma system development for Ohio
Promote and develop trauma prevention
Promote and develop trauma research
Advise on trauma registry and data collection related to trauma care
Foster networking of trauma nurse coordinators/managers and trauma programs
Serve as a resource for legislation and public programs related to trauma
COTS will be hosting two ICD-10 coding course by KJ Trauma Consulting.
